The Liquid Crystal Institute housed in the Liquid Crystal and Materials Science Building is located on Summit Street, east of the Student Center and Library. The three-story facility is adjacent to Henderson Hall School of Nursing and across the street from the Presbyterian Church of Kent (1456 E. Summit St.). The campus map on the KSU web site allows you to enlarge areas of the campus to better view our location (section D).

at Kent State University

 

Parking: The R-5 parking lot adjacent to the Institute is shared by the Mathematics and Computer Science Building, the School of Nursing, and the LCI. A parking permit is required to park in the lot. Visitors should request a parking permit from the LCI receptionist upon arrival at the LCI. Drive straight back toward Henderson Hall and park. Walk past the Liquid Crystal and Materials Sciences Building sign and into the building's entryway (open area between two wings of building). Take the door to your right. Take the stairs (on the right) or elevator (through glass doors and on the left) to the second floor. Walk across the atrium to the Main Office, Room 201. You will need to get a parking permit or you will be ticketed. The LCI receptionist can give you a permit to place on your car dash.
